Assessing and developing critical capabilities of high-performing leaders, executives and teams has been Uwe’s professional focus as a business psychologist and certified coach for more than 25 years. Uwe is audited for the internal coaching pool of various corporate organisations and business schools. His coaching assignments in 2019 were at CEO, Director or VP level, both face-to-face and virtually, for clients in Asia, Africa, USA, South America and across Europe. He brings a deep understanding of individual change and releasing leadership potential to his coaching practice. His approach is positive, systematic and solution-focused, helping leaders and teams be successful now and build the skills and capacities to be more successful in future.
Uwe started his career in the German steel industry before moving into management consultancy, for firms including PA Consulting Group, Cubiks and Mannaz, the Danish Leadership Institute. He currently teaches courses in ‘leading strategically in complex organisations’ for MBAs and Executives at Aston Business School, where he is an Associate Professor and the founder of the entrepreneurial team coaching research unit. His other research, teaching and consultancy specialisms include management diagnostics, management development and self-leadership strategies for high performers. Uwe has worked as a consultant and coach for blue-chip companies across the globe in all sectors and at different management levels. Recent coaching clients include: Barilla, Caterpillar, Copenhagen Business School, Effem, IMD, Jaguar/Landrover, GEA, Heineken, KPMG, Pirelli, Radiometer, Siemens, and Videojet.
Uwe has a PhD in Business Psychology from the CA University Kiel in Germany. He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in the UK, was an active global member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and listed as Chartered Psychologists in the British psychological Society. He is fluent in German and English and lives currently with his wife and daughter in Reading, outside London, UK. For decades his hobby has been scuba-diving and snorkelling and he enjoys exploring the beauty and natural treasures of the underwater world (preferably nowadays in Greece).
